... what's with that? Every day they jog and jog and jog! It's too late for the Olympics! Wheek!

Sammy is at the Olympics

 ... in his cage!!!! He's running and running and running ... will he win a gold medal???? Maybe he will win a carrot! Wheek!

Emma got adopted!

To who? A very nice lady, that's who! Wheek! [Emma was adopted today and she headed out to her awesome home where she will be totally spoiled. She will never run out of hay since the woman has a couple of horses that at boarded at her home. Thanks, Linda ... and Emma, have lots of fun running in that 25' hallway!]

Sammy's hair is growing in ...

check it out! No more white stuff on his ears! No more cyst! Want to adopt him????? Wheek! 

Izzy and Josie adopted today!

Yeah! [Izzy and Josie were adopted today by Amy and they settled right in when they were brought over to her today. It was nice to see them go to a good home after their prior living conditions and having three other people flake out at the last moment on their adoption.]

Tootsie hates getting fluids!

Why? The needle hurts, that's why! Wheek! [Tootsie has been getting sub-q fluids for her severe bladder infection and sludge. In addition she is getting her bladder expressed gently three times a day. So far all but one day the urine has been a creamy color rather than clear. Her meds are Baytril (antibiotic) and Metacam (for any inflammation and pain) along with liquid Vitamin C.]

What's with the smell?????

Helllllllloooooo ... Tootsie stinks! What's with that????!! [Tootsie was picked up this past Saturday and she had a vet visit today. She has an enlarged bladder full of sludge and a urinary infection. She is to continue her medication along with SQ fluids and an expression of her bladder.]

Restraint bags??????

What's with that????? Tell Janet to send veggies and more veggies and more veggies! Not bags!!! Wheek! [Janet sent GPF a restraint bag that may be used while having x-rays taken at the vet's office or when medicating or force feeding a supplement to a guinea pig. Misha was the model for the photos and she did fine until I turned her on her side and back, then she started to really squirm around. The key is to adjust the Velcro so that a pig cannot squirm its way out of the bag. Thanks, Janet!]
